In the lower level of Guayasamin’s Capilla del Hombre is the large mural El Condor y el Toro (the Bull and the Condor). During a festival, a condor was tied to the bull’s neck to fight the bull. If the condor won, it meant a good harvest. In front of the huge painting an eternal flame flickers for the cause of human rights.
